Jam, I can't get there on 03/11, but it sounds promising and fun. (I've nearly finished reading Crossword Ends in Violence (5), which I'm hugely enjoying. What's more, I now understand more about cryptic crosswords, namely that before I had a suspicion I cannot do them, whereas now I know).
